7. Somnath Temple

It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and was destroyed several times by the invaders, but still stands in glory. The present structure of the temple is an archaeological wonder and was completed in the year 1951, but the temple existed from 649 AD.
8. Meenakshi Temple
Next on the list of India’s richest temples is the beautiful Meenakshi Temple in Tamil Nadu. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati and is a symbol of archaeological excellence. According to some historians, the temple was rebuilt in the 14th century and many times, the temple was renovated and expanded. The temple organizes one day festival in each month of the Tamil calendar and the temple is very beautifully decorated during that time.
9. Jagannath Temple
Jagannath temple is one of the oldest temples in the country and is also the richest. It is located in Puri, Odisha and is situated on thousands of acres of land. It is famous for its Rath Yatra festival, which attracts millions of devotees, who donate here. This temple was built in 1161 and many people visit the temple to pray to Jagannath. Food is offered to the deity 6 times each day.
10. Kashi Vishwanath Temple
One of the richest temples in India is the world famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which is located in the holy city of Varanasi. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is one of the most visited temples in the country. The temple is situated on the banks of river Ganges and the temple was built in the year 1780.
